Gabriola Life Drawing Class

Drawing from life is a great way to improve your drawing skills. The sessions are suitable for beginners to experienced artists. Friendly, supportive atmosphere and no pressure to produce a masterpiece. Bring your own materials and an easel if you want one – chairs and benches for leaning drawing boards on are provided. We start with short poses for 1 or 2 minutes and progress to 20 minute to half-hour poses. Cost is $15 a session or $45 for four sessions (prepay and come when you can). Payment covers the model’s fee and studio rental. Life Drawing Gabriola is run on an informal basis by volunteers.

For more information contact Joan Eamer at joaneamer@gmail.com (325-7476) or Nancy Crozier at nantscro@telus.net (247-7621).

Gabriola Writers Social

Meet other writers at the Gabriola Writers Social. From professionals to dabblers. This is not a class, workshop or critique group…it’s just a party for writers. We tried it in November and it was a lot of fun. Bring snack/drink to share.

Gabriola Theatre Centre, 1475 Peterson Rd

Everyone welcome. $5 donation. For details, contact Joëlle Anthony: workshops@joelleanthony.com
